INTRA VILLA

The project was initiated for a father and son as the clients, who expressed their desire to design of a villa format that could either be realized as a two-story typical villa, or as two separate villas located adjacent to each other. The primary objective was to create a spatial and access arrangement that would enable the two villas to maintain a close interconnection. Initially, based on the location of the site within the Nowshahr region and in consideration of the prevailing climatic conditions of the area, and the landscape of the project, it was determined that the composition of the project would encompass two self-contained, outward-facing zones within a unified structure. In accordance with the client's requirements for inter-family communication, we endeavored to facilitate this objective by minimizing the interspace between two distinct dwellings and establishing a connection that promotes increased extroversion and illumination within each individual unit. On the other hand, in the direction of the introversion of the overall volume experience, this new quality is called "intra-extroversion".

Now this middle space, serving as a communal and inviting courtyard, along with the elevated terraces interlinking the two dwellings as required, facilitates communication between the abutting familial residences. "Intra Villa" was our answer to this matter.
